We have after been hiking in Sarek stayed over the night at Tora Fjällstörm who has rooms to rent in Gällivare. We get a very good breakfast in her kitchen. I will today continue to Abisko for another hike. Before my train leaves do I buy a book, it is good to have when the weather is bad and one can not leave the tent. My train is 25 minutes late, so our trains leave at the same time, though in opposite directions. On my train is it me and many foreign tourists. Halv past one do I get off the train at the small railway station Abisko turist. I go down to the tourist station, on the other side of the road between Kiruna and Narvik. I am lucky and get a bed, in the self service building called Keron. I share the room with four somewhat older ladies. The evening do I first spend in Naturum, where one can learn about the nature in the area. I try to memorise the flowers that one can find here. Well educated do I continue with a stroll at the fierce Abiskojåkkå down to Torne Träsk. It is a beautiful evening, it looks promising for my excursion tomorrow. Any flowers that I by know should recognise can I not find.
