Day 14 : 14 August 1988, Relaxing day
On a Sunday should one not do anything. Not even make porridge for the breakfast, we manage to destroy it. We have a very lazy day. It is a wonderful day, the sun shine from a clear sky. We walk downstream on the western side of the river. Somewhere halfway to Torne Träsk are rocks where one can sit sunbathing, and also have an easy access to the water. We make a visit in the streaming water, it is very refreshing. When coming back to the station do we buy tickets to Narvik, the next destination is Jotunheim in Norway.

The afternoon is also spent at the river, this time upstream of the road. It is fascinating to watch the fierce water in the canyon. In the rock are several holes made by stones rotating in the water, carving into the rock for many hundred years. A true piece of art. Who said one should do a lot of walking. A day like this is equally valid.
