Nothing is better than a book and a map to plan a tour. Lean back in
the armchair with the book and the map, and dream and plan. The ideal way
to plan the tour. The web is a complement and a place to find the
latest information and the experience of others. Here I have collected
the books that I have in my "hiking library" about Sarek,
though I have not read them in detail. They are all in swedish.
Edvin Nilsson, Sarek. (1970)
Axel Hamberg, Sarekfjällen (facsimile 1982, the original is from 1922).
Svante Lundgren, Vandra i Sarek. (1979)
Claes Grundsten, Vandra Kungsleden 2. (1991)
Karlsson/Falck, Padjelantaleden. (1991)
Tore Abrahamsson, Okända fjäll (1992)
Tore Abrahamsson, Detta är Sarek. (1993)
Peter Larsson, Dagboksblad från resor i Sverige (1998)
Hans Andersson, Olavi Korhonen, Vad betyder namnen? (2000)
Länsstyrelsen i Norrbotten has produced the small book,
Laponia (2001)
The map Fjällkartan BD10 : Sarek National Park, cover most of the area. Kallaktjåkkå is on map BD7 : Sitasjaure - Ritsem. The western part of Padjelanta is on map BD9 : Padjelanta - Sulitjelma. Those are the maps I'm using. They can be bought, among many other places, on the web from the producer Lantmäteriverket. |
