Sarek - Places
I will on these pages try to give a short description of the places in Sarek and in the surroundings that we have visited. It will not be a complete description, since we have not walked everywhere, and it is also impossible to give a complete description of it anyway. It is based on my own views and experiences, others may have different views. The conditions change dramatically with the weather, one have almost always good memories from good weather, while bad weather can change everything. This influence your views. The descriptions are restricted in the sense that they follow our own walking routes. It is of course possible to follow other routes, but those I can not describe for obvious reasons. These descriptions do not include any climbing, and not much on how to walk up on the mountain peaks. I'm not very interested in it, neither of the views. I am more impressed by the views of mountains that rise high above my head, the brook that navigate through the landscape, a flower that is flowering towards the sun.  It gives me the feeling for what we humans are in the universe. Nothing, and it feels good. Others feel different, and that is fine for me as well.

The way I divide the area into places, are here and there rather arbitrary, there are no definite or natural borders between areas. So, I invent some borders myself. The menu show the places I plan to describe. Those I have not made are indicated in italics, and have no link unless I'm currently working on the description or have at least done something on it.

The descriptions are illustrated with a photo album and a slide show. The photo album consists of small sized photos, while the slide shows gives a larger size. I have for each of the photos in the slide show given the date when it is taken, this gives some indication on what the conditions are at that time of the summer. In the text are the photos that illustrate that part referenced with a number that corresponds to same number in the photo album. These numbers have a link to the large size photo. In the descriptions do I, when there is a lake or hill without a name, I name it with the height (within paranthesis), as given on the map
