September 5, 2018: Going there
The airport bus rolls off 7.20 from the station to Sturup. At Sturup they want the backpack wrapped. Flight 9.40 to Arlanda. Short stop then to Kiruna where we land 13.10. There is no food outside the security check. Eat an energy bar and apple as lunch while waiting for the bus 14.30. Step off 15.45 in Abisko tourist. Have pre-booked a room in the Keron hostel area, with breakfast. Thinking about eating in the restaurant, but quite expensive and with the memory of the amount of food we decide not. Buy tortellini and Felix cream-stewed meatballs in the store and cook in Kerons kitchen.

Beautiful weather. After the food walk along Abiskojåkka. Not much water, been a dry summer. Birches begin to get their yellow autumn color. The footbridge along the river we saw built in 2015 is complete. Walk on it and then over the footbridge. Then bedtime.
