Day4: 23 August, Spietjaujåkkå - Sierkavagge, 9 km

We are in a bad shape this year. The muscles ache. The rain is pouring down. Miserable. Better to stay in the sleeping bag. At noon is the rain exhausted, and we come round. We abandon the track immediatly after the bridge across the river, walking straight south. To begin with through the forest, but soon are we above the tree level. We follow some reindeer tracks, that are along the river Spietjaujåkkå. Where we walk is it flat, in the east is Kisuris rising, west of us is the hill Spietjau ascending to 1040m. Showers continue to hunt us. The showers are defeated by the sun. We appreciate it, and take a break on a grassy space close to the river. Let the sunshine in. It is late afternoon when we arrive at the reindeerfences, these are used when the reindeers are collected to be marked. Many reindeer horns are lying on the ground, but they are all old and nothing to have. After the fences is the river turning east into Sierkavagge. We are satisfied with the day. It has been a short easy walk today, and not very interesting.
