Day5: 24 August, Sierkavagge - Kuopervagge, 10 km

The return of the clouds. A day devoted to the rainsuit, there is a continous drizzle all day. We continue south. Pass an area covered with the flower Kung Karls spira (King Charles spire). Walk up on the plateau Låutakvarto, keeping west of the small ponds on it. In the east is the gentle slope to the low mountains of Låutak. Towards west is the soft landscape of Padjelanta. Gullbräckan, a small yellow flower, surround some large stones. They light up the grey weather. We have lunch behind a large stone in the middle of nowhere, which give shelter against the wind and rain. The entrance of Koupervagge becomes visible in the haze. The winding river Låutakjåkkå in the middle of the valley, disappear in the west on its way to Vastenjaure in Padjelanta. The river is surrounded and accompanied by many rills, it looks like one big marsh. We avoid it by walking high up on the northern slope of Kuopervagge. The brook Alemusråvtatj is an obstacle. The brook is five meter down in a canyon, no way to get across it where we are. We descend to the lowland and the fringe of the marshes. Here is the brook no obstacle. The previously at a distance small rills, are not that small. We find it a fascinating landscape, but wet. The next brook, Kaskaråvtatj, is easy to cross in the delta. We start to look for a place to ford Låutakjåkkå, but no success. Our aim is to walk Nasasvagge in the south. We halt in the delta of Lulemusråvtatj. There has becomes holes in the clouds. It is getting cold, the temperature drop towards zero. The mountains in Lanjektjåkkå have got newly fallen snow.
